Instructions
1. Remove the spark plugs.
2. Remove the cylinder heads.
3. Remove the oil sump pan.
4. Remove the piston rings.
5. Remove the pistons.
6. Clean the piston ring grooves.
7. Install new piston rings.
8. Install the pistons.
9. Install the oil sump pan.
10. Install the cylinder heads.
11. Install the spark plugs.
Additional Tips
* Be sure to use the correct size piston rings.
* Be sure to install the piston rings in the correct order.
* Be sure to use a new gasket when installing the cylinder heads.
* Tighten the cylinder head bolts in the correct sequence and to the correct torque specifications.
Preventing Engine Seizure
The best way to prevent engine seizure is to maintain the proper oil level and change the oil regularly. You should also avoid overheating the engine. If you must drive in hot weather, keep the air conditioner on and take frequent breaks to allow the engine to cool down.
