1. Locate the battery compartment.
You can find the battery compartment on your BMW Z3 alarm system by consulting your owner’s manual.
>If you do not have your owner’s manual, you can contact your local dealership or search for it online.
>The battery compartment is usually located in one of the following locations:
* Trunk
* Glove compartment
* Under the front seat
2. Open the battery compartment.
>Press the release button or slide the cover open.
3. Take out the old battery.
>Lift it out gently.
4. Insert the new battery.
>Place it in the compartment, with the positive side up and the negative side facing down.
5. Close the battery compartment.
>Slide the cover back on or snap the release button.
>Check your key fob to make sure that it is working correctly.
Tips:
* When replacing the battery, be careful not to drop the new battery. This could damage the battery and/or the alarm system.
* If the battery compartment is corroded, clean it with a cotton swab and rubbing alcohol before inserting the new battery.
