How do you replace the brake light bulb on a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica?

Replacing The 3rd Row Brake Light Bulb:

1. Open the lower tailgate (the part over the spare tire).

2. Using your left hand, turn the gray retainer counterclockwise while pulling outward the center (black colored) circular retainer.

3. Now that you have removed the middle retainer, pull outward on the brake housing assembly using both hands (center section).

4. Once the bracket is pulled free, there is still one more retainer on the left-hand end. Squeeze the retainer and pull the left-hand side out.

5. This will allow you to remove the brake housing assembly from the vehicle completely.

6. You will see two round white retainers inside the brake housing assembly at the top.

7. Squeeze the retainers and pull them upward.

8. With the retainers removed, the tail light assembly will pull straight down and out.

9. Remove the burnt-out bulb from the socket by turning it one-quarter turn counterclockwise and pulling straight out of the socket.

10. Install the new bulb in reverse order.

5. Use a flathead screwdriver to unclip the socket holding the bulb.

6. The bulb will simply twist counter-clockwise to remove it.

7. Screw in a new bulb and put it all back together.
