1. Ensure that the vehicle is parked in a safe location, and that the engine is turned off.
2. Locate the passenger airbag on/off switch. In most Renault Clios, it is located on the far left side of the dashboard, underneath the air vents, below the steering column.
3. Turn the switch to the "Off" position. The switch should be marked with a symbol - a figure of a person with a slash through it - that indicates the airbag is being turned off.
4. Turn the engine back on and check the airbag warning light. If the airbag warning light is illuminated or flashing, the airbag has been successfully turned off.
