What might be the cause of an oil leak on 1990 Peugeot 205 automatic?

1. Oil pan gasket: The oil pan gasket is located at the bottom of the oil pan and seals it to the engine block. If the gasket is damaged or leaking, it can cause oil to leak from the engine.

2. Valve cover gasket: The valve cover gasket is located at the top of the engine and seals the valve cover to the cylinder head. If the gasket is damaged or leaking, it can cause oil to leak from the engine.

3. Rear main seal: The rear main seal is located at the back of the engine and seals the crankshaft to the engine block. If the seal is damaged or leaking, it can cause oil to leak from the engine.

4. Oil filter: The oil filter is located near the top of the engine and removes impurities from the oil. If the oil filter is not properly installed or is damaged, it can leak oil.

5. Transmission fluid leak: The 1990 Peugeot 205 automatic has an automatic transmission that uses transmission fluid. If there is a leak in the transmission fluid pan, lines, or seals, it can cause oil to leak from the car.
