Step 1: Locate the boot release button.
- In the Peugeot 306, the boot release button is usually located on the bottom right side of the dashboard. It is typically marked with the image of a small car with an open trunk.
Step 2: Press and hold the boot release button.
- Once you have located the boot release button, press and hold it down for a few seconds. You should hear a clicking sound, and the boot will pop open.
Step 3: Pull up on the boot lid.
- Once the boot has popped open, pull up on the boot lid to fully open it.
Step 4: Secure the boot lid.
- Once the boot is open, make sure to secure the boot lid by pushing it down until it clicks into place.
Note:
- If the boot does not open after pressing the boot release button, you may need to check the fuse box for a blown fuse. The fuse for the boot release button is usually located in the fuse box under the steering wheel.
- If the fuse is not blown, you may need to have the boot release mechanism repaired by a qualified mechanic.
