1. Insert the master key into the ignition.
2. Turn the key to the "ON" position.
3. Wait for the security light to go out.
4. Press and hold the lock button on the new key.
5. While holding the lock button, insert the new key into the ignition.
6. Turn the key to the "ON" position.
7. Wait for the security light to go out.
8. Release the lock button.
9. The new key has now been recoded and can be used to start the vehicle.
Note: If the security light does not go out after 10 seconds, the procedure has failed and must be repeated.
