Tools and Materials:

- Spark plugs (refer to your owner's manual for the correct type)

- Spark plug wrench

- 10mm socket with ratchet

- Extension bar (optional)

- Cleaning brush

- Dielectric grease

Instructions:

1. Preparation:

- Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down completely.

- Disconnect the negative terminal of your car's battery to avoid electrical shock.

2. Locate Spark Plugs:

- Open the hood of your VW Bora.

- The spark plugs are located on the top of the engine, usually under a plastic cover.

3. Remove the Plastic Cover:

- Locate the plastic cover that houses the spark plugs.

- Use a 10mm socket with a ratchet to loosen the bolts holding the cover in place.

- Carefully remove the cover to expose the spark plugs.

4. Remove Old Spark Plugs:

- Use a spark plug wrench to loosen and remove the old spark plugs.

- Be careful not to drop the spark plugs into the engine compartment.

5. Clean Spark Plug Chambers:

- Use a cleaning brush to remove any dirt or debris from the spark plug chambers.

- Make sure the chambers are clean to ensure proper seating of the new spark plugs.

6. Apply Dielectric Grease:

- Apply a small amount of dielectric grease to the threads of the new spark plugs.

- This helps prevent seizing and corrosion, making it easier to remove them in the future.

7. Install New Spark Plugs:

- Carefully insert the new spark plugs into the spark plug chambers.

- Hand-tighten the spark plugs until they are snug.

- Use the spark plug wrench to tighten the spark plugs further, but do not overtighten.

8. Reconnect Battery:

- Reconnect the negative terminal of the car battery.

9. Replace Plastic Cover:

- Reattach the plastic cover over the spark plugs.

- Tighten the bolts to secure the cover in place.

10. Test the Engine:

- Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.

- Listen for any unusual noises or performance issues.

Note: If you encounter any difficulties or don't feel comfortable changing the spark plugs yourself, it's advisable to consult with a qualified mechanic for assistance.
