- Disconnect the car battery.
- Wait for 30 minutes to drain any residual power.
- Turn the ignition on without starting the engine.
- Enter the 4-digit code using the keypad buttons.
- Press and hold the "1" button for 5 seconds to validate.
- The keypad immobilizer will be reset.
2. 1999-2002 Peugeot 306 XSI Phase II(Transponder-Based Immo System):
- For cars without a separate ECU box:
- Insert the original key into the ignition.
- Press and hold the unlock button on the remote control while turning the key to the "ON" position.
- Hold both the key and remote button for 10 seconds.
- The immobilizer will be reset and the car should start.
- For cars with a separate ECU box (behind the glove compartment):
- Locate the ECU box.
- Disconnect the white connector from the ECU box.
- Wait 30 minutes for the capacitors to discharge.
- Reconnect the white connector.
- Try to start the car. The immobilizer should be reset.
3. Use the Master Code:
- Some Peugeot 306 models may have a master code that can be used to override the immobilizer. This code is typically located in the owner's manual or provided by the Peugeot dealership.
- To use the master code, enter it using the keypad while the ignition is on. The immobilizer will be reset and the car should start.
