Instructions:

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. This will help prevent any sparks or electrical shock while you are working on the starter.

2. Raise the front of the van and support it with jack stands. Make sure the van is stable and will not roll while you are working underneath it.

3. Locate the starter. It is usually mounted on the driver's side of the engine near the bottom.

4. Remove the bolts that hold the starter in place. There are usually two or three bolts that hold the starter in place. Use a wrench to loosen the bolts and then remove them with your fingers.

5. Disconnect the electrical connections from the starter. There are usually two or three electrical connections that connect the starter to the engine. Use a screwdriver to pry off the connectors and then disconnect them with your fingers.

7. Install the new starter. Place the new starter in the same position as the old starter and then insert the bolts that hold it in place. Tighten the bolts with a wrench until they are snug.

8. Reconnect the electrical connections to the starter. Reconnect the electrical connectors that you disconnected in step 5.

9. Lower the van and remove the jack stands. Once the electrical connections are reconnected, you can lower the van and remove the jack stands.

10. Reconnect the negative battery terminal. Reconnect the negative battery terminal that you disconnected in step 1.

11. Test the starter. Start the engine and make sure that the starter is working properly.
