1. Start the vehicle and let it reach normal operating temperature.
2. Turn off the air conditioner and other electrical accessories.
3. Connect a tachometer to the vehicle's diagnostic connector.
4. Locate the idle speed adjustment screw on the throttle body.
5. Turn the idle speed adjustment screw clockwise to increase the idle speed or counterclockwise to decrease the idle speed.
6. Adjust the idle speed to the desired value, which is typically between 650 and 750 RPM.
7. Once the idle speed is set, turn off the vehicle and disconnect the tachometer.
