1. Gather the necessary materials and tools.
- New radiator
- Radiator hoses
- Radiator cap
- Drain pan
- Wrench set
- Screwdriver set
- Pliers
- Safety goggles
2. Prepare the vehicle.
- Park the vehicle on a level surface.
- Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down.
- Engage the parking brake.
- Open the hood.
3. Locate the radiator.
- The radiator is located at the front of the engine compartment.
- It is a large, rectangular-shaped component with a black plastic cover.
4. Drain the coolant from the radiator.
- Place the drain pan under the radiator.
- Open the radiator drain plug.
- Allow all of the coolant to drain out of the radiator.
5. Disconnect the radiator hoses.
- Use a wrench to loosen the hose clamps on the radiator hoses.
- Disconnect the radiator hoses from the radiator.
6. Remove the radiator.
- Use a screwdriver to remove the screws that hold the radiator in place.
- Carefully lift the radiator out of the vehicle.
7. Inspect the radiator for damage.
- Look for any cracks, leaks, or other damage to the radiator.
- If the radiator is damaged, it will need to be replaced.
8. Install the new radiator.
- Carefully lower the new radiator into the vehicle.
- Secure the radiator in place with the screws that you removed in step 6.
9. Reconnect the radiator hoses.
- Attach the radiator hoses to the radiator.
- Tighten the hose clamps.
10. Fill the radiator with coolant.
- Mix the coolant with water according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Pour the coolant into the radiator.
11. Install the radiator cap.
- Screw the radiator cap onto the radiator.
12. Test the radiator.
- Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
- Check for any leaks from the radiator.
- If there are no leaks, the radiator is repaired and you can close the hood.
