1. Gather the tools and materials you will need:
- New brake lines
- Brake fluid
- Flare nut wrenches
- Line wrenches
- Pliers
- Jack and jack stands
2. Park the truck in a safe location and engage the parking brake.
3. Chock the wheels to prevent the truck from rolling.
4. Raise the truck with the jack and place it on jack stands.
5. Remove the wheels.
6. Locate the brake lines. The brake lines are located along the frame of the truck.
7. Use a flare nut wrench to loosen the flare nuts that connect the brake lines to the brake calipers.
8. Use a line wrench to loosen the brake lines from the brake master cylinder.
9. Remove the old brake lines.
10. Install the new brake lines. Insert the new brake lines into the brake master cylinder and the brake calipers. Hand tighten the flare nut fitting then use a flare wrench to tighten the connections.
11. Bleed the brake system to remove any air from the lines.
12. Reinstall the wheels.
13. Lower the truck from the jack stands.
Once you have completed all of these steps, the brake lines on your 1992 F150 will be replaced.
