* The IAC valve is located on the intake manifold, just below the throttle body.
* It is a small, round, black or silver valve with a vacuum line attached to it.
2. Remove the IAC valve.
* Disconnect the vacuum line from the IAC valve.
* Use a wrench to loosen the two bolts that hold the IAC valve in place.
* Be careful not to drop the bolts.
* Remove the IAC valve from the intake manifold.
3. Clean the IAC valve.
* Spray the IAC valve with carburetor cleaner.
* Use a small brush to scrub the IAC valve clean.
*Be sure to clean the inside of the IAC valve, as well as the outside.
* Rinse the IAC valve with clean water.
* Allow the IAC valve to dry completely before reinstalling it.
* Reinstall IAC valve in reverse order of removal.
