1. Disconnect the battery. This will prevent any electrical accidents from happening while you are working on the engine.
2. Remove the serpentine belt. This will give you access to the front crank seal.
3. Remove the crankshaft pulley. This can be done using a puller tool.
4. Remove the old crank seal. This can be done using a pry bar or a seal puller.
5. Clean the seal area. Make sure to remove all of the old sealant from the area.
6. Apply new sealant to the new crank seal. Make sure to apply the sealant evenly around the seal.
7. Install the new crank seal. Press the seal into place using a seal driver or a hammer.
8. Reinstall the crankshaft pulley. Make sure to tighten the pulley bolts to the correct torque specifications.
9. Reinstall the serpentine belt. Make sure to adjust the tension on the belt to the correct specifications.
10. Reconnect the battery.
11. Start the engine and check for leaks. Make sure that there are no oil leaks from the front crank seal.
