How do you set the timing chain marks on a1995 Nissan Altima with 2.4 l ENGINE?

1. Remove the valve cover.

2. Locate the timing chain marks. The camshaft sprocket has a mark that must align with the mark on the cylinder head. The crankshaft sprocket has a mark that must align with the mark on the oil pump housing.

3. Loosen the camshaft sprocket bolt. Do not remove the bolt.

4. Turn the crankshaft clockwise until the timing marks align. Use a wrench to turn the crankshaft bolt.

5. Tighten the camshaft sprocket bolt. Tighten the bolt to 65 ft-lbs.

6. Replace the valve cover.

7. Start the engine and check the timing. Turn on the engine and verify that the marks on the camshaft and crankshaft have not moved.
