- 3/8" drive ratchet
- 3/8" drive extension
- 15mm socket
- 18mm socket
- 22mm socket
- Pry bar
- Ball joint press
Instructions
1. Raise the vehicle and support it on jack stands.
2. Remove the lug nuts and wheels from the front of the vehicle.
3. Use a pry bar to pry the lower ball joint out of the steering knuckle.
4. Remove the 3 bolts holding the ball joint to the control arm using the 18mm socket.
5. Remove the ball joint by pressing it out of the control arm with a ball joint press.
6. Install the new ball joint into the control arm using the ball joint press.
7. Install the 3 bolts that hold the ball joint to the control arm.
8. Replace the wheels and lug nuts.
9. Lower the vehicle and test drive it to make sure the lower ball joints are properly installed.
