1. Safety precautions

- Remove the transmission fluid fill plug and add new fluid until it reaches the specified level on the dipstick.
9. Test the transmission

- Shift through all of the gears to ensure that the transmission is functioning properly.
10. Road test the vehicle
- Take the vehicle for a test drive to ensure that the transmission is shifting smoothly and that there are no leaks or unusual noises.
