Here are the steps involved:
1. Gather the necessary tools and parts. You will need:
* A new CV shaft
* A pry bar
* A hammer
* A wrench set
* A socket set
* A jack and jack stands
* Safety glasses
* Gloves
2. Park your car in a safe location. Make sure the car is in park and the parking brake is engaged.
3. Chock the wheels. Place a chock behind both the front and rear tires on the side of the car that you will be working on.
4. Jack up the car. Use the jack to lift the car off the ground until the tire is about 6 inches off the ground.
5. Remove the lug nuts. Use the wrench to loosen the lug nuts on the tire you are working on.
6. Remove the tire. Pull the tire straight off of the lug bolts.

14. Install the tire. Place the tire on the lug bolts and tighten the lug nuts.
15. Lower the car. Use the jack to lower the car back to the ground.
16. Remove the chocks. Remove the chocks from behind the tires.
17. Test drive the car. Take the car for a test drive to make sure the CV shaft is working properly.
