Tools and Materials Needed
* New Brake pedal switch (part number: 35250-SDA-A01)
* 10mm socket wrench
* Flat-blade screwdriver
* 10mm-20mm adjustable wrench or 17mm wrench
* Pliers
* Electrical tape
Instructions
1. Turn off the ignition and disconnect the battery.
2. Locate the brake pedal switch. It is located on top of the brake pedal arm, near the firewall.
3. Use a 10mm socket wrench to remove the two bolts that hold the brake pedal switch in place.
4. Use a flat-blade screwdriver to pry the brake pedal switch off of the brake pedal arm.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the brake pedal switch.
6. Install the new brake pedal switch by reversing the steps above. Be sure to tighten the bolts securely.
7. Reconnect the battery and turn on the ignition.
8. Test the brake pedal switch by pressing the brake pedal. The brake lights should come on when the pedal is pressed.
9. Wrap the electrical connector with electrical tape to protect it from the weather.
