How do you reset the Maintenance Required light on a 2003 Honda Civic EX?

To reset the maintenance required light on a 2003 Honda Civic EX:

1. Turn the ignition key to position "ON" (do not start the engine).

2. Within 5 seconds of turning the key to "ON," fully press and release the SELECT/RESET knob on the instrument panel.

3. The MID screen should display "M.I.N.D." and then switch to "OIL LIFE."

4. Within 5 seconds of seeing the "OIL LIFE" message, press and release the SELECT/RESET knob again.

5. When the MID display shows "MAINT REQ?" use the SELECT/RESET knob to toggle the display to "No" and press and release the knob.

6. The maintenance required light should now be reset.
