• 19 mm socket
• 3/8-inch drive ratchet
• 24-inch breaker bar or pipe
• 1/2-inch drive ratchet
• 1/2-inch drive impact gun
Follow these steps:
1. Safely raise and support the front of the car using jack stands.
2. Locate the crank pulley. It is located at the front of the engine, just below the timing belt cover.
3. Loosen the 19 mm bolt in the center of the pulley using the 3/8-inch drive ratchet.
4. Use the 24-inch breaker bar or pipe to break the bolt loose.
5. Remove the bolt using the 3/8-inch drive ratchet.
6. Remove the old crank pulley using the 1/2-inch drive impact gun.
To install the new crank pulley:
1. Lightly coat the new crank pulley's bolt with a thread sealant.
2. Screw the bolt into the pulley by hand.
3. Use the 1/2-inch drive impact gun to tighten the bolt until it is snug.
You can now lower the car and remove the jack stands. The new crank pulley is now installed.
