1. Locate the OBDII connector in the vehicle. It is usually located under the dashboard, near the steering column.
2. Connect an OBDII scan tool to the connector.
3. Turn on the ignition, but do not start the engine.
4. Select the "reset ECU" or "reset drive cycle" option on the scan tool.
5. Follow the prompts on the scan tool to complete the reset process.
6. Turn off the ignition and disconnect the scan tool.
7. Start the engine and drive the vehicle for at least 20 minutes to allow the OBDII system to complete the reset process.
