1. Locate the valet button. The valet button is usually located under the steering wheel or in the glove box. It is a small, black button that is labeled "valet" or "override".
2. Press and hold the valet button. Press and hold the valet button for 3-5 seconds until you hear a beep. This will put your alarm system into valet mode.
3. Turn off the ignition. Turn your key back to the OFF position.
4. Open the driver's door. Open the driver's door and get out of the car.
5. Close the driver's door. Close the driver's door firmly but gently.
6. Wait 30 seconds. Wait 30 seconds for your alarm system to disarm.
7. Test your alarm system. Arm your alarm system and then try to open the driver's door. You should hear the alarm chirp instead of being silent.
