Instructions
1. Open the hood of your car.
2. Locate the hood struts. They are located on either side of the engine compartment, near the hinge of the hood.
3. Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry the caps off of the hood struts.
4. Use a 10mm socket and ratchet to remove the nuts that are holding the hood struts in place.
5. Remove the old hood struts and replace them with the new hood struts.
6. Replace the nuts and tighten them with the ratchet.
7. Replace the caps on the hood struts.
8. Close the hood of your car.
This should complete the process of changing hood struts on a 2000 Lexus LS400.
