1. Gather your tools and materials. You will need:
* A new shift knob
* A Phillips head screwdriver
* A flat head screwdriver
* A pair of pliers
2. Park your car and turn off the engine.
3. Locate the shift knob. It is located on the center console, between the front seats.
4. Remove the old shift knob.
- Use the Phillips head screwdriver to remove the two screws that hold the shift knob in place.
- Once the screws are removed, you can pull the shift knob straight up and off the shifter.
5. Install the new shift knob.
- Align the new shift knob with the shifter and push it down until it is firmly seated.
- Replace the two screws that you removed in step 4.
6. Test the new shift knob.
- Make sure that it is securely fastened and that it shifts gears smoothly.
