Instructions:
1. Park the vehicle in a safe location. Make sure the vehicle is in “Park” (for an automatic transmission) or first gear (for a manual transmission). Set the parking brake and chock the wheels to prevent the vehicle from rolling.
2. Locate the front wheel bearing. The front wheel bearing is located on the front of the vehicle, behind the brake disc and caliper.
3. Remove the brake caliper. Use a socket wrench to remove the two bolts that hold the brake caliper in place. Carefully remove the brake caliper and hang it out of the way with a piece of wire.
4. Remove the brake disc. Use a socket wrench to remove the bolts holding the brake disc in place. Carefully remove the brake disc.
5. Remove the wheel hub. Use a socket wrench to remove the bolts that hold the wheel hub in place. Carefully remove the wheel hub.
6. Remove the old wheel bearing. Use a screwdriver to pry the old wheel bearing out of the hub.
7. Install the new wheel bearing. Press the new wheel bearing into the hub using a hammer or press.
8. Reinstall the wheel hub. Place the wheel hub back on the vehicle and secure it with the bolts.
9. Reinstall the brake disc. Place the brake disc back on the vehicle and secure it with the bolts.
10. Reinstall the brake caliper. Place the brake caliper back on the vehicle and secure it with the bolts.
11. Test the wheel bearing. Spin the wheel to make sure it spins smoothly and without any noise.
12. Lower the vehicle and road test. Slowly lower the vehicle from the jack stands and road test the vehicle to make sure the wheel bearing is working properly.
