Tools and Materials Needed:
- New Wiper Blades (Refer to your vehicle's owner's manual for the correct size.)
- Mild Detergent
- Clean Cloth or Sponge
- Flat-head Screwdriver
Instructions:
1. Open Hood: Release the hood latch inside your vehicle and lift the hood. Secure the support rod to keep the hood open.
2. Locate Wiper Blades: Find the wiper blades attached to the wiper arms that rest against your vehicle's windshield.
3. Clean Windshield: Before replacing the wiper blades, clean the windshield with a mild detergent and a clean cloth or sponge. This will help enhance the performance of the new wiper blades.
4. Remove Old Wiper Blades: Each wiper blade is secured by a small plastic tab. Use the flat-head screwdriver to release the plastic tabs that hold the wiper blades in place. Grip the old wiper blade near its base and firmly lift it off the wiper arm.
5. Install New Wiper Blades: Take one of the new wiper blades and align it with the wiper arm. Slide it onto the arm and press down until the plastic tabs lock in place. Ensure the wiper blade is attached securely and doesn't come off easily. Repeat the process for the other wiper blade.
6. Test Wiper Blades: Close the hood and test the new wiper blades. Turn on your vehicle and operate the windshield wipers to ensure they function properly.
