- Brake fluid
- A C-clamp
- A flathead screwdriver
- A clean rag
Step 1: Remove the brake caliper from the vehicle. To do this, you will need to remove the two bolts that hold the caliper in place.
Step 2: Once the caliper is removed, you will need to remove the brake pads. To do this, simply use a flathead screwdriver to pry the brake pads out of the caliper.
Step 3: Use a rag to clean the caliper piston area.
Step 4: Place the C-clamp on the caliper piston. Make sure that the C-clamp is centered on the piston.
Step 5: Tighten the C-clamp until the piston is compressed.
Step 6: Once the piston is compressed, you can remove the C-clamp.
Step 7: Reinstall the brake pads and the brake caliper.
Step 8: Add brake fluid to the master cylinder.
Step 9: Test the brakes to make sure that they are working properly.
Note: It is important to follow all of the steps carefully to ensure that the brake caliper piston is compressed correctly. If the piston is not compressed correctly, it could lead to brake problems.
