Instructions:
1. Disconnect the battery. This will prevent the car from starting while you are working on the starter.
2. Remove the air cleaner housing. This will give you more room to work on the starter.
3. Disconnect the electrical connections from the starter. There are two electrical connections on the starter. One is a large cable that is held in place by a 14mm bolt. The other is a smaller cable that is held in place by a 10mm bolt.
4. Remove the starter mounting bolts. There are three starter mounting bolts. Two of the bolts are located on the front of the starter and one is located on the back. The front bolts are 17mm and the rear bolt is 14mm.
5. Carefully remove the starter from the car. Be careful not to drop the starter.
6. Inspect the starter for any damage. If the starter is damaged, it will need to be replaced.
7. Install the new starter by reversing the steps above.
Things to keep in mind:
-When re-installing the battery in the last step, remember to attach positive to positive with the red battery and black to black or negative with both the battery.
When working around powertools that might cause flying debri or chemicals and liquids use your safety glasses and gloves to prevnet any unwanted accidents from happening.
