Ensure the vehicle is off and parked in a safe location.
Gather the necessary tools, including a Phillips head screwdriver, a flat head screwdriver, and a new car stereo replacement kit.
Open the hood of the vehicle and disconnect the negative battery terminal using the wrench.
Go inside the vehicle and locate the center console. Remove any screws or panels securing it in place using the Phillips head screwdriver. This will expose the factory stereo.
Remove the screws securing the factory stereo using the Phillips head screwdriver and gently pull it out of the dashboard.
Disconnect the wiring harness and antenna from the back of the factory stereo.
Install the new car stereo by connecting the wiring harness and antenna from the back of the stereo.
Slide the new stereo into the dashboard and secure it in place with the screws you removed earlier.
Reconnect the battery terminal.
Turn on the vehicle and test the new stereo.
