* Flat-head screwdriver
* 9/32-inch(7mm) socket wrench with a ratchet
* Replacement headlight bulb (check your car manual for the exact bulb type you need)
Instructions
1. Pop the hood: Pull the hood release lever inside the car, and then go to the front of the car and lift the hood. Use the prop rod to hold the hood open.
2. Locate the headlight assembly: The headlight assembly is the clear plastic cover over the headlight bulb. It's located behind the grill on the front of the car.
3. Remove the grill: There are two screws that hold the grill in place. Use the 9/32-inch socket wrench to remove the screws.
4. Remove the headlight assembly: There are two screws that hold the headlight assembly in place. Use the 9/32-inch socket wrench to remove the screws, and then pull the headlight assembly out of the car.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector: The electrical connector is a small, black connector that plugs into the back of the headlight bulb. Press the release tab on the connector and pull it out of the bulb.
6. Remove the old headlight bulb: Turn the old bulb counterclockwise to remove it from the headlight assembly.
7. Install the new headlight bulb: Insert the new bulb into the headlight assembly and turn it clockwise to secure it.
8. Reconnect the electrical connector: Plug the electrical connector back into the back of the headlight bulb.
9. Reinstall the headlight assembly: Slide the headlight assembly back into the car. Line up the mounting screws and insert it. Tighten the screws to secure the headlight assembly in place.
10. Reinstall the grill: Line up the grill with the mounting holes and insert it back in place. Tighten the screws to secure the grill.
11. Lower the hood and Close it. Your headlight bulb should now be replaced!
Tips
* Be careful when handling the headlight bulb. The oils from your skin can damage the bulb, so it's best to wear gloves.
* If you have difficulty removing the grill or headlight assembly, you may need to use a flat-head screwdriver to pry them loose.
* If the new headlight bulb doesn't work, check to make sure that the electrical connector is properly connected.
