How do you replace the rear window hatch on a 2001 Isuzu Rodeo?

1. Remove the interior trim panel that covers the inside of the hatch. This means unscrewing a few screws and prying it off.

2. Remove the hatch struts. These are the two gas-filled cylinders that help support the hatch. To remove them, insert a screwdriver into the release clip on the bottom of each cylinder and pry it off.

3. Disconnect the electrical connections for the rear wiper motor and defroster.

4. Remove the nuts and bolts that hold the hatch in place.

5. Lift the hatch off the vehicle.

6. Remove the old weatherstripping from the hatch frame.

7. Install the new weatherstripping to the hatch frame.

8. Position the new hatch on the vehicle and secure it with the nuts and bolts.

9. Connect the electrical connections for the rear wiper motor and defroster.

10. Replace the hatch struts.

11. Replace the interior trim panel.
