How do you install a crank pulley for 1995 infiniti g20?

Tools and Materials Needed:

- Replacement crank pulley

- Socket wrench set

- Torque wrench

- Impact wrench

- Flat blade screwdriver

- Replacement drive belt (optional)

Instructions:

1. Park your vehicle in a safe location, engage the parking brake, and turn off the engine. Allow it to cool down completely before proceeding.

2. Disconnect the battery. This is an important safety precaution to avoid any electrical accidents. Use a socket wrench to loosen the negative battery terminal and remove it from the battery post.

3. Locate the crank pulley. It is usually situated at the front of the engine, near the bottom. It is typically a large metal wheel with a belt wrapped around it.

4. Loosen the crank pulley bolt. Use an impact wrench to loosen the bolt that holds the crank pulley in place. Be careful not to drop the bolt.

5. Remove the drive belt. Use a flat-blade screwdriver to pry the drive belt off the crank pulley.

6. Remove the crank pulley. Once the bolt is loosened and the drive belt is removed, you can remove the crank pulley. Use a pry bar to pry the pulley off the crankshaft. Be careful not to damage the crankshaft.

7. Install the new crank pulley. Place the new crank pulley on the crankshaft and align the bolt holes.

8. Install the crank pulley bolt. Insert the crank pulley bolt and tighten it with an impact wrench. Tighten the bolt to the specified torque as per your vehicle's service manual.

9. Install the drive belt. Place the drive belt around the crank pulley and the other pulleys it routes around.

10. Reconnect the battery. Reconnect the negative battery terminal to the battery post and tighten it with a socket wrench.

11. Start your vehicle and inspect the installation. Make sure the crank pulley is properly installed and the belt is properly routed and tensioned.

Note: If you are not comfortable performing this task, it is recommended to have it done by a professional mechanic to ensure the correct installation of the crank pulley.
