1. Press and hold the unlock button on your key fob. Continue holding the button down for at least 5 seconds.
2. While holding down the unlock button, press and hold the lock button. Keep both buttons depressed until the hatch pops open. This may take several seconds.
3. Release both buttons and try to open the hatch. If it opens, you're done! If not, repeat steps 1 and 2.
Method 2: Using the Manual Release
1. Locate the manual release lever. It's located inside the vehicle, on the driver's side of the cargo area.
2. Pull the manual release lever. This will release the hatch from its locked position.
3. Open the hatch. Once the latch is released, you should be able to open the hatch normally.
Note: If you are unable to unlock your Honda Element hatch using either of these methods, you may need to take it to a dealer or automotive locksmith for further assistance.
