How do you fix a loose clutch on 95 miata?

To fix a loose clutch on a 1995 Mazda Miata, you will need to adjust the clutch pedal free play. Here are the steps on how to do this:

1. Park your Miata on a level surface and turn off the engine.

2. Open the hood of your Miata.

3. Locate the clutch master cylinder. It is located on the driver's side of the engine compartment, near the firewall.

4. Look for a black plastic cap on the clutch master cylinder. This cap covers the bleeder screw.

5. Remove the cap and attach a hose to the bleeder screw. The other end of the hose should be placed in a container filled with brake fluid.

6. Have a friend press down on the clutch pedal while you open the bleeder screw. This will allow air and fluid to escape from the clutch line.

7. Close the bleeder screw when the fluid starts to come out without any bubbles.

8. Repeat steps 6 and 7 until all of the air is out of the clutch line.

9. Top off the clutch master cylinder with brake fluid.

10. Test the clutch pedal to make sure that it has the proper amount of free play. The free play should be about 1/2 inch (12.7 mm). If the free play is too great or too small, adjust the clutch pedal rod.

Once the clutch pedal is properly adjusted, close the hood of your Miata and test drive it to make sure that the clutch is working properly.
