1. Make sure the vehicle is off and the battery is disconnected.
2. Locate the airbag control unit (ACU) under the driver's seat. It is usually located near the center console and mounted to the floorboard.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the ACU.
4. Wait 10 to 15 minutes for the ACU to discharge its capacitors.
5. Reconnect the electrical connector to the ACU.
6. Turn the key in the ignition to the "ON" position without actually starting the engine.
7. The airbag light should come on and then turn off.
8. Start the engine and check to make sure the airbag light stays off.
9. If the airbag light does not turn off, there may be a problem with the airbag system that requires further diagnosis and repair.
It is important to note that resetting the airbag light does not fix the underlying problem that caused the light to come on. If the airbag light comes back on, it is recommended that you have the vehicle diagnosed by a qualified mechanic to identify and fix the problem.
