1. Park your car in a safe location and turn off the engine. Allow the engine to cool down completely before you begin working.
2. Lift the hood of your car and secure it in place with the hood prop.
3. Locate the wiper arm that you need to replace. The wiper arms are located on the front of the car, just above the windshield.
4. Press down on the release tab on the wiper arm and pull up on the arm to remove it. Be careful not to drop the wiper arm.
5. Clean the wiper arm mounting surface with a damp cloth.
6. Apply a small amount of grease to the new wiper arm mounting surface.
7. Install the new wiper arm by pushing it into place and pressing down on the release tab. Make sure that the wiper arm is securely in place.
8. Close the hood of your car and remove the hood prop. You have now successfully changed the wiper arm on your 1999 Mercedes C280.
