1. Park the car on a level surface.
2. Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down.
3. Open the hood of the car.
4. Locate the transmission fluid dipstick. It is usually located on the passenger side of the engine compartment, near the transmission.
5. Pull the dipstick out of the transmission and wipe it clean with a rag.
6. Reinsert the dipstick into the transmission until it is fully seated.
7. Pull the dipstick out again and check the fluid level. The fluid should be between the "Full" and "Add" marks on the dipstick.
8. If the fluid level is low, you will need to add some automatic transmission fluid. Use only the type of fluid that is recommended by the manufacturer.
9. Reinsert the dipstick into the transmission until it is fully seated.
10. Close the hood of the car.
It is important to check the transmission fluid level regularly, as low fluid levels can cause damage to the transmission.
