What causes front disc brake to lock up?

Several factors can cause a front disc brake to lock up, impairing the vehicle's ability to move freely and safely. Here are some common causes of front disc brake lock-up:

1. Hydraulic System Failure:

- Brake Fluid Leak: If there's a leak in the brake fluid lines or components, it can cause a loss of hydraulic pressure, resulting in brake caliper pistons getting stuck in their extended position and locking the brakes.

2. Faulty Brake Caliper:

- Caliper Slide Pin Issues: Worn or damaged slide pins on the brake calipers can prevent the caliper from moving smoothly, causing one or more brake pads to remain in contact with the disc, leading to lock-up.

3. Brake Pad Problems:

- Glazed or Contaminated Pads: Overheated brake pads can develop a glazed surface or become contaminated with dirt, grease, or brake fluid. This can reduce friction and hinder their ability to retract, potentially causing brake lock-up.

- Oversized Brake Pads: If brake pads that are too thick for the caliper are installed, they may make contact with the brake disc's inner surface, causing the wheel to lock up immediately upon brake pedal application.

4. Master Cylinder Issues:
