The clutch safety switch is a safety feature that prevents the engine from starting if the clutch is not depressed. The clutch safety switch cover is a plastic cover that protects the switch from damage. To remove the clutch safety switch cover, you will need a flat-head screwdriver and a 10mm socket.
1. Remove the nut holding the clutch pedal in place.
2. Lift the clutch pedal up towards the steering wheel as high as it will go.
3. Use the flat-head screwdriver to pry the plastic cover upwards. The cover is held in place by two plastic tabs and can be easily pried off.
4. Once the cover is off, you can remove the clutch safety switch by disconnecting the electrical connector and removing the 10mm nut.
To reinstall the clutch safety switch cover, simply replace it on the clutch pedal and snap it back into place. Then, replace the nut holding the clutch pedal in place.
