2. Crawl under the truck and locate the clutch cable. It is a metal cable that runs from the clutch pedal to the transmission.
3. Find the clutch cable adjustment nut. It is located on the clutch cable, near the transmission.
4. Use a wrench to turn the clutch cable adjustment nut counterclockwise to loosen it.
5. Pull the clutch cable until the clutch pedal has about 1 inch (2.5 cm) of free play.
6. Hold the clutch cable in this position and tighten the clutch cable adjustment nut.
7. Test the clutch pedal to make sure it has 1 inch (2.5 cm) of free play.
8. If necessary, repeat steps 4-7 until the clutch pedal has the correct amount of free play.
