Instructions
Step 1: Loosen the lug nuts on the wheel.
Do not remove them yet.
Step 2: Jack up the car and place the jack stands underneath the car.
Make sure the car is securely supported before you crawl underneath it.
Step 3: Remove the lug nuts and take off the wheel.
Set the lug nuts aside in a safe place.
Step 4: Locate the brake caliper.
It is the metal housing that holds the brake pads in place.
Step 5: Use the flathead screwdriver to pry open the dust boot on the caliper.
This will expose the brake pads.
Step 6: Use the C-clamp to compress the brake caliper.
This will force the brake pads back into the caliper and allow you to remove them.
Step 7: Remove the old brake pads from the caliper.
Be careful not to damage the caliper or the brake rotor.
Step 8: Apply brake grease to the new brake pads.
This will help to reduce noise and prevent them from sticking to the caliper.
Step 9: Insert the new brake pads into the caliper.
Make sure they are seated properly.
Step 10: Release the C-clamp and reinstall the dust boot.
Step 11: Reinstall the wheel and the lug nuts.
Tighten the lug nuts in a star pattern until they are snug.
Step 12: Lower the car and remove the jack stands.
