- Brake cleaner

- New brake pads

- Brake grease

- Safety glasses

Procedure:

1. Start by parking the car on a level surface and engaging the parking brake.

2. Make sure the transmission is in neutral or park and apply the parking break.

3. Chock the wheels to prevent the car from rolling.

4. Jack up the car until the front wheels are off the ground and support it with jack stands.

5. Remove the lug nuts and take off the front wheels.

6. Use a screwdriver or pliers to remove the brake caliper guide pins from the caliper assembly.

7. Carefully slide the caliper assembly off the brake rotor, being careful not to damage the brake line.

8. Remove the old brake pads from the caliper assembly by sliding them out of their slots.

9. Clean the caliper assembly and the brake rotor with brake cleaner to remove any dirt or debris.

10. Apply a small amount of brake grease to the back of the new brake pads.

11. Slide the new brake pads into the caliper assembly and align them with the rotor.

12. Reattach the caliper assembly to the brake rotor by attaching the caliper pins.

13. Replace the wheels and lug nuts.

14. Lower the car to the ground and remove the jack stands.

15. Pump the brake pedal a few times to seat the new brake pads.

Tips:

- Make sure the new brake pads are the correct size and shape for your vehicle.

- When applying the brake grease, be careful not to get any on the brake rotor.

-Be sure to check the brake fluid level in the master cylinder, and refill as needed.

- Be sure to test the brakes after you install the brake pads to ensure that they are working properly.

- If you are uncomfortable performing this procedure yourself, you can take your car to a qualified mechanic to have the brake pads replaced.
