- A new uncut key
- A screwdriver
- A hammer
1. Remove the old key from the ignition.
2. Insert the new uncut key into the ignition.
3. Turn the key to the "On" position.
4. Wait for the red light on the dashboard to turn off.
5. Turn the key to the "Off" position.
6. Remove the key from the ignition.
7. Use the screwdriver to remove the two screws that hold the key housing together.
8. Separate the key housing into two halves.
9. Locate the transponder chip inside the key housing.
10. Remove the transponder chip from the key housing.
11. Insert the transponder chip into the new key housing.
12. Put the key housing back together and secure it with the two screws.
13. Insert the new key into the ignition.
14. Turn the key to the "On" position.
15. The red light on the dashboard should now be off.
16. Drive your car to make sure the new key works properly.
If the new key does not work, you may need to have it programmed by a locksmith or a Renault dealer.
