1. Park your car in a safe location and turn off the engine. Engage the parking brake and chock the wheels to prevent the car from rolling.
2. Open the trunk of your car.
3. Locate the brake light assembly. It is usually located on the inside of the trunk lid, near the taillight.
4. Remove the cover of the brake light assembly. There may be a screw or other fastener holding the cover in place.
5. Remove the old brake light bulb. Turn the bulb counterclockwise to remove it from the socket.
6. Insert the new brake light bulb. Push the new bulb into the socket and turn it clockwise to secure it.
7. Replace the cover of the brake light assembly. Make sure it is securely fastened.
8. Close the trunk of your car.
9. Test the brake lights to make sure they are working properly. Turn on the ignition and press the brake pedal. The brake lights should come on.
