- Locate the faulty door lock. The rear door lock on the Toyota Sienna is located on the inside of the door, near the handle.
- Remove the interior door panel. To remove the interior door panel, you will need to remove the screws that hold it in place. The screws are located around the edges of the door panel, and they may be covered by plastic covers.
- Locate the door lock actuator. The door lock actuator is a small electric motor that controls the locking and unlocking of the door. It is located behind the door lock, and it is attached to the door panel.
- Test the door lock actuator. To test the door lock actuator, you can use a multimeter to check for continuity. If there is no continuity, the actuator is faulty and will need to be replaced.
- Replace the door lock actuator. To replace the door lock actuator, you will need to remove the screws that hold it in place. The screws are located on the side of the actuator. Once the screws are removed, you can remove the actuator and install the new one.
- Reinstall the interior door panel. Once the door lock actuator is replaced, you can reinstall the interior door panel. To do this, simply align the panel with the door and insert the screws.
