1. Park your car in a shady area and turn off the engine.
2. Open the hood and locate the air conditioning unit. It is typically located on the passenger side of the engine bay.
3. Look for a small, black rubber hose near the bottom of the air conditioning unit. This is the drain hose.
4. Follow the drain hose to where it exits the vehicle. It may be routed through a hole in the firewall or behind the front bumper.
5. If the drain hose is clogged, you can try to clear it by blowing compressed air through it. Be careful not to damage the hose.
6. If the drain hose is damaged or disconnected, you will need to replace it. You can purchase a replacement hose from an auto parts store or dealership.
If you are unable to find the drain hose, you can also try to find the evaporator drain pan. The evaporator drain pan is located under the air conditioning unit and collects water that condenses on the evaporator coil. If the drain pan is clogged, it can cause water to leak into the cabin of the vehicle.
To find the evaporator drain pan, you can look for a small, plastic pan under the air conditioning unit. It may be covered by a piece of insulation. If you find the drain pan, check to make sure that it is clear of any debris. If the drain pan is clogged, you can clean it out with a mild detergent and water.
