* 12-volt battery charger
* SAE battery extension cable
* Phillips-head screwdriver
Instructions
Step 1:Turn off the motorcycle's engine and allow it to cool down completely.
Step 2::Find the battery on your motorcycle. It is located on the right-hand side of the bike, just below the seat.
Step 3:Disconnect the negative (black) battery terminal by loosening the Phillips-head screw that holds it in place. Be careful not to let the negative battery cable touch any metal parts on the bike, as this could cause a short circuit.
Step 4:Connect the positive (red) lead from the battery charger to the positive battery terminal. Then connect the negative (black) lead from the battery charger to the negative battery terminal.
Step 5:Turn on the battery charger and set it to the correct voltage. The voltage setting for a lead-acid battery is usually 12 volts.
Step 6:Allow the battery to charge for at least 12 hours. The battery may need to charge for longer if it is completely discharged.
Step 7:Once the battery is fully charged, disconnect the battery charger and reconnect the negative (black) battery terminal.
Step 8;Start your motorcycle and test the battery to make sure it is charging properly.
-If you do not have a battery charger, you can also take the battery to a local auto parts store or motorcycle dealer and have them charge it for you.
