* Amps measure the rate of electrical current flow. A car battery doesn't have a fixed "amp" value.
* Amp-hours measure the total amount of electrical charge a battery can store.
A typical car battery has a capacity of around 40 to 70 Ah. This means it can deliver a current of 1 amp for 40 to 70 hours, or 2 amps for 20 to 35 hours, and so on.
Important Note: The actual current a car battery can deliver depends on the load. It can deliver a much higher current for short periods, like when starting the engine, but this will deplete the battery quickly.
